Another big Tuesday in the political sphere, another big night at the NewTech Meetup.

lendingclub.com – Why should banks have all the money?  Cut out the middle man and borrow at lower rates or earn at higher rates.  All through a sophisticated reputation system.  Featured on CNBC.   [Rob Garcia]

photocrank.com – Crank any photo online.  Add this plugin on your blog and allow your readers to comment on top of your photos.  [Jeffrey Tannenbaum]

genietown.com – Where clever people connect to buy and sell local services.  Everybody is an expert on something.  [Florian Brody]

caachi.com – The PitchFork of Indie Films, caachi allows indie film makes to have a channel of distribution.  Watch films that have typically only been available at film festivals. [Tom Hicks]

Also, I wanted to make an announcement about a special event happening in the bay area.  NetSquared’s Mashup Challenge – using mashup’s for social good. The event has $100k in awards to the top mashups, competing between now and the conference on May 27th.  So submit an idea or join an existing one.
