Use teleflip to send a txt msg to any cell (when you don’t know the carrier.)

teleflip

Left my cellphone at work last night and came across a pretty sweet service.  teleflip will send a message to any cell phone and forward the responses back to your email.  You’re thinking big deal right, I could do that already, just by going to the carriers website or sending and email to the phonenumber@carriersdomain.com?  Well, where this comes in handy is when you don’t know which carrier your friend uses, teleflip handles that.

Just address your email to: yourfriendsnumber@Teleflip.com

p.s. when you do know the carrier, this page comes in handy: http://www.obviously.com/tech_tips/SMS_Text_Email_Gateway.html
