My December 25th

For me, I came back to a warm home in Port Washington, NY to be with the family. Kristine (girlfriend/special someone) was in Pittsburgh bringing in the holiday. Milo spent his time learning new corners of the Lauria house.
2 nights before christmas, we watched the festival of lights down on jones beach. It involved me, packed in a minivan with 6 females and a gauntlet of questions.
The unwrapping of presents is always the best part. As you get older, it’s important to have younger ones around in order to keep the spirit. My niece, Danielle, was excited with each gift she opened (whether they were hers or not ;) She even opened Milo’s gifts (who was moaning and itching to get to the toys he could smell so dearly through the wrapping paper.
She loves drawing so I made her an art book to create in.
She made us a gingerbread house, which was too nice to bite into.
And no christmas would be complete without my mom cleaning up the wrapping paper before all the presents are even opened. (After I moved out, our house turned into a museum – no plastic on the furniture… yet.)

Truly precious.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Vin!
