A new friends for pets

I’ve had a few discussions on pets watching TV. From what I’ve seen with Milo, he doesn’t get very interested. Somebody told me recently that it’s because pet’s can’t see the interlaced signal so well.
Well, that’s all changed with HD TV. So Josh and Kris, you should get an HD-TV for your pets. I wonder if you can change a pets mood via a TV. The article states that his cat will get excited at such sites as Lions. How long will that last for? Will the cat learn to not be drawn into the reality that some call TV? Will the cat get bored after a season of the OC?
Who will tune out first? Our pets, or us?
